Brazil Visas For U.S., Canadian and Australian Citizens

Brazil Tourist Visa:

To obtain a Brazil Tourist Visa you must scan and email to info@ambpv.com the following information as attachments

1- Clear color scanned attachment of passport bio page. Please note, you must place the passport bio page on a scanner and send us the scanned file as either a PDF or Jpeg attachment.  Do not send a copy of the passport, it will be detected and your visa application will be rejected.  Additionally, your Passport must be signed, valid up to six months beyond travel date and have at least 2 blank visa pages.  Applicants not having two blank visa pages will be denied entry into Brazil upon arrival.
2- Completed Brazil Tourist Visa Questionnaire
3- Passport-style photo (2” x 2”, white background (must be in Jpeg format).
4- Confirmation of flight reservation (showing entrance into and exit from Brazil), as well as hotel reservation.
5- Bank statement showing transactions for the last 30 days showing minimum available balance of US$ 2,000.00 for travel.
6- Clear scanned color copy of Driver's license
7- Completed Ambassador Passport and Visa Cover Letter

Additional requirements for minors:

For minor applicants under age 18, please scan and provide the additional following documents as attachments:
- Color copy of birth certificate.  The original birth certificate must be presented upon entry into Brazil. 
- For minors under age 18, the Consent Form should be completed and signed by both parents. Click here for Brazil Consent Form for Minors
-  If only one parent is listed on birth certificate, only that parent’s signature is required.
- If one parent has sole custody of applicant, a notarized copy of the court order awarding sole custody and exclusive parental rights must be provided.
- If one parent is deceased, a copy of death certificate must be provided. The original death certificate must be presented upon entry into Brazil.
- Copy of passports or other form of government issued photo ID for both parents.
-The name on the parent’s photo ID must match parent’s name on the child’s birth certificate. If said parent has changed his or her name since the issuance of the birth certificate, the parent must present documentation showing proof of the name change (e.g. marriage certificate or court order).
-For children of Brazilian parent(s): Declaração de Não-Cidadania declaring that the applicant is not a Brazilian citizen (does not hold a Brazilian Birth Certificate), signed by Brazilian parent(s). The following Authorization for Issuance of Brazilian Visa for a Minor, signed by both parents.

Brazil Business Visa

Applicants traveling to Brazil for business such as company meetings, consulting, auditing, site visits, signing of contracts, journalistic activities, cruise or airline crew members, etc.

To obtain a Brazil Business Visa you must scan and email to info@ambpv.com the following information as attachments:

1- Clear color scanned attachment of passport bio page. Please note, you must place the passport bio page on a scanner and send us the scanned file as either a PDF or Jpeg attachment.  Do not send a copy of the passport, it will be detected and your visa application will be rejected.  Additionally, your Passport must be signed, valid up to six months beyond travel date and have at least 2 blank visa pages.  Applicants not having two blank visa pages will be denied entry into Brazil upon arrival.

7- A Business Letter from either their U.S. or Brazilian company. The letter should be on company stationery and signed by a manager/director/supervisor, stating the following information:
-Nature of company’s/organization’s business or activities in Brazil.
-Applicant’s title, job description and monthly salary.
-Nature of business and activities to be conducted by applicant in Brazil.
-Name(s) and address(es) of Brazilian company(ies) with which applicant will conduct business.
-Contact(s) in Brazil: name(s), phone number(s) and corresponding position(s).
-Expected travel dates.
-Affirmation of company’s financial support of applicant while in Brazil.
-Affirmation that applicant will not provide any technical assistance or perform any salaried work while in Brazil (such activities require a VITEM V temporary work visa).

8- Completed Ambassador Passport and Visa Cover Letter

In order to access the application, please click on the "Advanced" button, then "continue to this website" if on Firefox, "add exception". Once you get to the site, select the "English" language on the top right, then choose the "Visa" button, scroll down to the bottom left of the web-page and click on the button "Start new application" .

Proceed with filling out, printing and signing the receipt of the completed online application (receipt will come with a bar code, a "protocol number" and a bottom rectangle for the signature):

• In the event of absent parent(s), a notarized letter of parental consent authorizing the Consulate General of Brazil to issue a visa, signed by the absent parent(s) / guardian(s)
• Children under age 18 not traveling with both parents must provide a notarized letter of consent. This letter must be authenticated by the Brazilian Consulate, fee $20 per page
• Copy of round trip airline tickets or travel itinerary. If traveling on a Cruise Ship, copy of the Cruise itinerary with travelers name must also be provided.

Brazil Business Visa

Requirements For Non U.S. Citizens:

• A business letter from your firm (on company’s letterhead), addressed to Consulate General of Brazil.
The business letter should state all of the following:
-Name and title of applicant Purpose of trip and contact in Brazil
-The nature of duties to be performed in exact detail and assuming full responsibility for the applicant while in Brazil and return transportation.
-The letter should be signed by a company executive other than the applicant.
-The following sentence must also be added in the Business Letter: "The applicant will neither perform any technical work nor will he/she be remunerated (paid for services rendered) from Brazilian Sources."
