Instructions for Completing Your Online Passport Application

Please read these important steps carefully before starting your online application (Walk-in clients may complete and prepare all documents directly at our office):

Step 1 – Start the Application

• Agree to the Privacy Agreement on the first page. On the next page, locate the left-hand column and click “Apply Online” (bottom left).

• Click “Submit” to begin the process.

Step 2 – Select Application Options

• Once application has been completed, on the “Passport Products and Fees” page:

  • Under Processing Methods, choose “Expedited at Agency.” Under Delivery Methods, select “1-2 Days.”

  • Note: Because Ambassador Passport & Visa Services hand-carries your application directly to and from the U.S. Department of State, mailing options do not apply to hand-carry applicants.

Step 3 – Finalize and Print

• On the last page (“Next Steps”), check the box confirming “I have read and acknowledge the steps…”

• Click “Print Form” (bottom left).

• Open, print, and sign your application in black ink with an original (wet) signature.
  Important: Electronically signed or copied applications are not accepted and will cause rejection.

Step 4 – Submitting Your Application to Ambassador

• Before printing, the system will ask you to “Submit in person” or “Locate an agency.”
  🚫 DO NOT SELECT EITHER OPTION

• After completing your application, deliver or send all required documents to Ambassador Passport & Visa Services within 1–2 days.

• This allows us to hand-carry your application directly to the Passport Agency for immediate processing.

• Applications expire within five (5) business days of completion. 
  Please note: FAILURE TO SEND OR WALK-IN YOUR DOCUMENTS AND REQUIREMENTS DIRECTLY TO OUR ADDRESS WITHIN 1-2 DAYS MAY RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT DELAYS THAT ARE BEYOND OUR CONTROL.

• Walk-in clients may complete and prepare all documents directly at our office.

Please note: Applications must be signed by wet signatures, electronically signed applications are not acceptable and will cause your application to get rejected.

Submit your most recent US passport. The passport must have been issued less than one year ago.

Please note: acceptable passport photos are:
• Photographs must be 2 x 2 inches in size, taken within the past 6 months.
• The image size from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head should be between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches.
• No glasses
• The photographs must be in color
• They must be full face, front view with a plain white or off-white background. • Photographs should be taken without a hat or headgear that obscures the hair or hairline.
• Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless required for medical reasons.
• Home made Digital photographs are not acceptable

• Your most recent U.S. passport
• An original or certified document which shows that you changed your name less than one year after your most recent U.S. passport was issued. Examples include a marriage certificate, divorce decree, or court order. 
  • You can correct your passport if there is a date or printing error.  A data error may include an issue with your name, gender or place of birth. A printing error may include missing data on the biographical page, discoloration or crooked printing. 
  • If there is a change or an error in the descriptive data in your recently issued passport, you must submit the evidence of the error (e.g. your U.S. birth certificate or a previously issued U.S. passport showing the correct information).
  • All documents submitted for a name change or a data correction MUST bear the official seal of the issuing authority. Uncertified copies or notarized documents cannot be accepted.

At this time it is not required to provide any type of proof of departure or travel until further notice.  However, if you have an itinerary, flight or hotel reservation, business letter, or other proof of travel, please provide it.

Please note: Processing for a U.S. Passport begins the FIRST BUSINESS DAY AFTER all the documents and requirements are received by Ambassador Passport and Visa Services.
