Laos Tourist Visa
• Visa is required
• Valid Passport. (passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay with at least one blank visa page front and back)
• 1 Fully completed Visa Application Form (see below)
• 2 Passport photographs
• Copy of airline reservation
• For minors under the age of 18, a clear copy of the minor's birth certificate is required.
• Copy of hotel reservation. If staying with friends or family an invitation letter from host, and copy of Laos ID or passport is required
• International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required if arriving from infected area within 5 days
• For Non-U.S. Citizens: A copy of Alien Registration Card (Green Card), or copy of Valid U.S. Visa is also required.
• Completed Ambassador Passport and Visa Cover Letter (see below)
Laos Business Visa
• Visa is required
• Submit your valid passport. (passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay with at least one blank visa page front and back)
• 1 Fully completed Visa Application Form (see below)
• 2 Passport photographs
• Copy of airline reservation
• Copy of hotel reservation.
• A business letter of responsibility is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to: Embassy of Laos, Visa Section, Washington D.C. The letter must explain all of the following:
- The Purpose of Travel
- Business organization to be visited in Laos
- Guarantee financial support for the applicant while in Laos
- Return transportation to the U.S.A. The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.
• International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required if arriving from infected area within 5 days
• For Non-U.S. Citizens: A copy of Alien Registration Card (Green Card), or copy of Valid U.S. Visa is also required.
• Completed Ambassador Passport and Visa Cover Letter (see below)

Regular Processing - 10 to 12 Business Days - $50.00
Rush Processing - 4 to 7 Business Days - $70.00
Ultra Rush Processing - 2 to 3 Business Days - $70.00
The consular Fee is only payable by Money Order or Cashier check (which Ambassador Passport can obtain on your behalf)
Ambassador Passport and Visa Fees
Regular Processing - 10 to 12 Business Days - $300.00
Rush Processing - 4 to 7 Business Days - $350.00
Ultra Rush Processing - 2 to 3 Business Days - $390.00
There is a 20.00 charge to obtain money orders or cashier checks
Note: There is a 5% charge for all government and consular fees paid by credit or debit cards
