US citizens are not required to obtain a visa for short term tourist visits or business meetings. 

US citizens are required to obtain visas for the following: performances, filming, modeling, lectures, public speeches, research, sporting events, employment, long term visit (exceeding than 90 days).

Korea, South Tourist Visa

US citizens are not required to obtain a visa for stay of less than 90 days

For longer stay visas or nationalities that require a visa:

• Submit Valid Passport, must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay, and contain at least one blank visa page
• 2 passport photos
• 1 Fully completed and signed Visa Application Form  
• For Non - US Citizens: Original Green Card or original proof Legal Status in United States is required
• Copy of round trip tickets or itinerary
• Copy of hotel reservation or invitation letter from host in S. Korea, and a copy of host's S. Korean passport or valid ID.
• Copy of most recent bank statement
• Completed Ambassador Passport and Visa Cover Letter

Korea, South Business Visa

US citizens are not required to obtain a visa for visits that involve business meetings (only), for a stay of less than 90 days

For longer stay visas or nationalities that require a visa:

• Submit Valid U.S. Passport, must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay, and contain at least one blank visa page
• 1 Fully completed and signed Visa Application Form
• 2 Passport Photos
• Copy of ticket or travel itinerary
• Copy of hotel reservation
• Copy of most recent bank statement
• For Non - US Citizens: Original Green Card or Original Legal Status in United States is required
• Business invitation letter from the host company or organization to be visited in Korea
• Copy of Certificate of Business Registration / Business License of host company in S. Korea is required

• A business letter of responsibility is required from the employer / organization in the US, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to: Consulate General of Korea, Visa Section. The letter must explain all of the following:
- The nature of business to be performed
- Business reference to be visited in Korea
- Guarantee financial support for the applicant while in Korea
- Return transportation to the U.S.A
- The letter should be signed by an officer / employee of the company other than the applicant

• Completed Ambassador Passport and Visa Cover Letter

Consular fees vary based on nationality, duration of stay, and category of visa

The consular Fee is only payable by Money Order or Cashier check (which Ambassador Passport can obtain on your behalf)

Regular Processing - 10 -12 Business days - $180.00
Rush Processing - 8 to 9 Business Days - $200.00
Ultra Rush Processing - 5 to 7 Business Days - $250.00

There is a $20.00 charge to obtain Money orders

Note: There is a 5% charge for all government and consular fees paid by credit or debit cards.
