• Valid Passport, (must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay)
• 2 Fully completed Visa Application Forms
• 2 Passport photographs
• Copy of ticket or travel itinerary
• Copy of hotel reservation, or invitation letter from host in Malawi including a copy of host's Malawi passport or ID.
• For Non-U.S. Citizens: A copy of Alien Registration Card (Green Card), or copy of Valid U.S. Visa is also required.
• Completed Ambassador Passport and Visa Cover Letter
Malawi Business Visa
• Visa Required
• Valid Passport, (must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay)
• 2 Fully completed Visa Application Forms
• 2 Passport photographs
• Copy of ticket or travel itinerary
• Copy of hotel reservation.
• A business letter of responsibility is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to: Embassy of Malawi, Visa Section, Washington D.C. The letter must explain all of the following:
- The Purpose of Travel
- Business reference to be visited in Malawi
- Guarantee financial support for the applicant while in Malawi
- Return transportation to the U.S.A. The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.
• An invitation letter from host company in Malawi.
• For Non-U.S. Citizens: A copy of Alien Registration Card (Green Card), or copy of Valid U.S. Visa is also required.
• Completed Ambassador Passport and Visa Cover Letter

6 Months Multiple Entry - $220.00
One Year Multiple Entry - $300.00
Consular fees are only payable by money order (which Ambassador can purchase on your behalf)

Regular Processing - 10 to 12 Business Days - $180.00
Rush Processing - 8 to 9 Business Days - $220.00
Ultra Rush Processing - 2 to 7 Business Days - $250.00
For nationals of India, Nigeria, Bangladesh, China, Burundi, Rwanda and Pakistan applications may take up to four weeks.
There is a $20.00 charge to obtain money orders
